Agricultural Technician

We are looking for 2-4 ambitious and hard-working Agricultural Research Technicians to be a part of our team for **4 Months ( May - August)**. As Agricultural Research Technicians, you will work closely with our program co-coordinators and gain hands-on experience in all aspects of the applied research process. This includes field operation(seeding, mowing, spraying, harvesting) field data collection, equipment maintenance, assessing and preparing with extension activities, data entry, and seed and yield processing.

**About the Organization**: The Battle River Research Group (BRRG) is a producer-led organization conducting leading-edge applied agricultural research and extension in east-central Alberta. Our vision is to make Alberta’s agricultural producers profitable and sustainable through applied research, demonstration, and extension in the areas of forages, livestock, annual crops, specialty crops, environmental conservation and regenerative agriculture.

**Farming Background, Agriculture Education, Agricultural and machinery experience will be considered an asset. Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license and have a safe driving record.**

Contract length: 4 months

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
