Kirkton Veterinary Corporation is looking for a positive, compassionate, and driven Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team. The technician will be responsible for performing a variety of animal health services and procedures, including administering medications, dressing wounds and performing basic lab tests. This position requires strong customer service skills and a commitment to working with animals.
**Responsibilities**:
- Report any animal injuries or illnesses.
- Prepare patients for general surgery, radiography, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Assist in the operation of special diagnostic or therapeutic equipment.
- Provide postoperative care and rehabilitation.
- Provide emergency first aid care to animals who have been injured or have become sick on the premises.
- Supervise and assist in the care of animals when under the direct supervision of a veterinarian.
- Maintain records and other files concerning veterinary technician duties and the veterinary facility.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 24-40 per week
**Salary**: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
