**About the Role**:
A Medical Copywriter at Ogilvy Health collaborates within a multi-functional team of Creatives, Client Services, Strat Planners and Project Managers. They are involved in a wide range of projects, including proofreading and quality assurance, taking writing projects from first draft to final release, reviewing Creative copy for accuracy and compliance, mentoring, and doing research for both existing and prospective clients. Medical Copywriters will work with a Creative Copywriter when necessary, and report to a more senior Medical writer for mentorship and quality assurance.
**What You'll Do**:
- Write copy for promotional and unbranded tools, websites, social media campaigns, etc.
- Attend project briefs and work with the cross-functional team
- Work with Art Directors at project inception to help address specs and text restrictions
- Review content from other writers supporting your brands
- Collaborate with other Creatives to achieve the project's communications objectives
- Update copy per internal and external feedback
- Manage and source reference documents for your brands
- Manage version control of documents by following the OH process
- Learn about and help manage regulatory requirements (PAAB, ASC, etc.)
- Provide insight into disease state for your brands
- Assist with proofreading (when needed) to optimize consistency and quality of work
- Participate in brainstorms and ideation sessions
- Participate in conceptual development
- Present internally
**What You'll Need**:
- Relevant education (Science degree) or related experience
- Medical/Pharmaceutical and/or CME writing experience is a must
- 2+ years' experience as a copywriter, in an agency or similar environment
- Ability to craft engaging, digestible copy for multiple audiences
- Excellent command of English grammar, punctuation and spelling
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and ability to articulate pharmaceutical process/requirements and prepare all required materials for regulatory submissions and subsequent responses
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Dynamic thinking with flair for simplifying complex concepts
