The GIS technician responsibilities will include:
1) Georeferencing data sets

2) Creating maps and other visualizations of geospatial data

3) Curation and archiving of geospatial data

4) Standardization of geospatial data products

5) Maintenance of online data archives and content

Minimum qualification include:
1) Formal training in a GIS-focused technology program (advanced certificate, diploma, or bachelors of technology), a research-based MSc focused on GIS, _OR _professional training in hydrographic or terrestrial surveying;
2) Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task;
3) Experience with ArcGIS and geospatial visualization.

Experience with web content management and/or topographic survey theory would be considered assets.

The position is available for 8 months with the possibility of renewal. Salary is $60,000/yr.

**Salary**: $5,000.00 per month
