**Details**: Workers may work in the scope of a family aide, supporting and coaching family visits, aiding in the reunification processes and community youth work supports. Workers must have reliable transportation to allow transport of children and adults for visitation and other purposes.

**Hours**:The hours for this position will vary depending on the needs of the program, and may include some evenings and weekends. Total of 22 hours per week with possibility of more hours.

**In your role you will**:
¨ Connect with and develop helping relationships with families

¨ Act as a strong advocate for the individuals in the community

¨ Work effectively as a team with the families and their support team to help them achieve their goals

¨ Counsel families and youth, assess family issues, supervise visits

¨ Assist with competency skill development and provide goal planning and intervention strategies

¨ Provide assistance to the Safe Visitation Program when needed

¨ Completion of Degree/Diploma in the Human Services field

¨ Six (6) months direct experience related to family/youth/social work

¨ Equivalencies may be considered

¨ Police Information Check; including the Vulnerable Persons Sector Check (within the last 6 months)

¨ Children Services Intervention Record Check (within the last 6 months)

¨ Valid class 5 drivers license, current drivers abstract, reliable vehicle and auto insurance **are required; as well as the ability to drive an agency vehicle.**

¨ Emergency First Aid-Level C CPR + AED

¨ Trauma informed care practices

¨ Experience and/or education in working with Indigenous populations is an asset

¨ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

¨ Strong computer/word processing skills

¨ Strong assessment and counseling skills

¨ Experience working with youth

**Starting Rate of Pay**:$22.54-$25.38; depending on experience and education
