Pallet Retrieval Specialist

This role is perfect for a personable, hard-working individual who enjoys physical work.

Our DZ Driver's ensure timely and safe pick up or delivery of product to and from customer sites, while providing professional service within the GTA, Hamilton, Brantford, and Niagara areas.

**Responsibilities**:

- Complete a pre-trip inspection of vehicle, ensuring it is in safe working condition before leaving the yard. Report any defects to the Logistics Manager or Dispatch immediately.
- Follow pick up and delivery instructions provided by dispatch. Planning travel routes, taking into account possible road construction, traffic congestion, and difficult weather conditions, to ensure that deliveries and pickups are made on time.
- For pickups, collect and load pallets or other products from customers/suppliers sites. It is the responsibility of the driver to ensure the product is loaded into the truck. Each truck is equipped with a tailgate that drops down to assist with loading, as well as a pallet jack to move the product.
- For deliveries, ensure that bill of ladings are signed and dated, and then returned to the office at the end of each run.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 3+ years DZ experience with a clean abstract/CVOR, and valid DZ license.
- Must be able to work outdoors year-round.
- Good English reading and writing skills.
- Available to work Monday to Friday, starting at 7am.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs unassisted, lifting is a regular activity
- Excellent customer service skills, with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
