Allied is looking for a
**Bilingual Specialist, Lease Documentation (Legal Affairs)** in Toronto.

At Allied, everything starts with purpose. In the role of Specialist, Lease Documentation, you will support the leasing and contracting process for our portfolio in Quebec. This, in turn, allows Allied to build relationships with tenants on legally sound foundations.

Please note, our department of Lease Documentation is often referred to as Legal Affairs or Legal Operations in the industry.

**What will you do?**:

- Prepare, draft and negotiate commercial leases and related documentation.
- Complete all due diligence activities related to requests for landlord’s consent to transfer.
- Ensure the compliance of agreements according to federal and provincial laws, as well as departmental organizational policies, procedures, and strategies.
- Communicate and negotiate non-business provisions contained in the various agreements directly with lawyers, tenants, and other third parties.
- Support the development of policies related to lease pre-approvals, precedents, and sections.
- Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders in response to lease related matters.
- Assist internal departments with legal queries.

**What are we looking for?**:

- A bachelor’s degree in law.
- 3+ years of experience either in-house or at a law firm with strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving fundamentals.
- An assertive self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Bilingual in French and English.
