We are looking for **Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP)** to provides onsite emergency medical services within an industrial environment at **Fox Creek**, tending to both urgent and non-urgent medical needs.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Medical standby in the field including but not limited to drilling rigs, service rigs and pipeline jobs
- Respond to emergency calls 24/7
- Medical assistance at accidents, emergencies and other related incidents, in an Emergency Transport Vehicle or Mobile Treatment Center (MTC)
- Assesses whether and how to move patients and, where appropriate, the best location to transport
- Provides immediate course of treatment from scene and on route to hospital
- Applies splints to limbs, dress wounds, administers pain relief, oxygen, drips and fluids
- Uses technical equipment, CPAP, AED, ECG in order to resuscitate and stabilize patients
- Completes procedures when necessary, such as intubation (insertion of a breathing tube), suturing etc
- Liaises with members of other emergency services, such as the police, fire and other ambulance services to ensure the appropriate level of response is provided
- Drives an Emergency Transport Vehicle or other rapid response vehicle
- Cleans, decontaminates and checks vehicles, clinics, and equipment to maintain a state of operational readiness
- Assesses the condition of patients at a clinic location
- Maintains medical documentation and reports on patient's conditions
- Attend daily safety meetings

**Other Skills/Abilities**
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Functional knowledge of computer operations, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Effectively organize and prioritize situations and activities ranging from urgent patient care issues to routine office and clinic duties
- Must be reliable, dependable and capable of working in a fast-paced team environment
- Able to travel via motor vehicle and air transport

**Requirements/ Education**
- An active registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics
- WHMIS/IPS New Hire Training, H2S Alive and CSO (Common Safety Orientation)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- Class 4 or 5 (or equivalent) Driver's License Schedule of Work
- Typically 2 weeks on 2 weeks off
- Typically 12hr shifts

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Fox Creek, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Location: One location
