Brewer

We are currently seeking a full-time Brewer to join our team

The Brewer reports to our Production Lead and is responsible for the brewing of our beer, ensuring high quality, consistent, and efficient brews and processes.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Perform all tasks associated with brewing in order to meet production and shipping schedules.
- Ensure quality control and consistency of brews.
- Ensure accurate data entry and achieve thorough understanding of data tracking systems
- Troubleshoot any operational problems that may occur in the brewing process, escalate to the Senior Brewer, then Production Lead as appropriate and necessary.
- Follow standard operating procedures and maintain equipment, as well as, identify any deficiencies or growth efficiency opportunities and inform the Senior Brewer, then Production Lead as appropriate and necessary.
- Prepare ingredients for upcoming brew according to the brewing schedule prepared by the Production Lead.
- Ensure highest quality control of product; report issues or recommendations to Production Lead
- Clean, sanitize and organize workspace, including production and inventory areas, and equipment.
- Participate in ensuring a healthy and safe workspace and product.

**Qualifications**
- Brewing college diploma and three years of brewing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience an asset, but if you have the passion we will happily train you
- Mechanical aptitude to work with different and new brewing equipment.
- Trouble shooting ability
- Willingness and ability to learn new job skills
- Forklift experience an asset
- Excellent communication, teamwork, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize, meet, and work within tight and changing deadlines.
- Ability to work well in a team environment collaborating and working towards a common goal.
- A passion for craft beer.
