Position Overview:
The Glazing Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the activities of the workers in the shop. Enforce company policies and procedures in regards to safety, quality and production standards and fosters a positive environment on the shop floor.
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Glazing Supervisor's job description will include, but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
- Supervise and coordinate all work activities.
- Ensure management is informed daily about quality, quantity, personnel, safety and any other issues that require attention.
- Train and evaluate employees in job duties, safety procedures and company policies.
- Attend and contribute to weekly production meetings and training sessions.
- Assist in the review of Design Proposals/Shop Drawings from a constructability standpoint.
- Reads and understands production schedules; estimates labor requirements for completion of job.
- Establishes, adjusts and communicates work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Ensure employees are in compliance with company related policies and procedures; issue disciplinary action if necessary.
- Delegates tasks and responsibilities.
- Analyzes and resolves any work problems and assists workers in solving work problems.
- Participates in non-conformance analysis and implements necessary corrective and preventative actions.
- Adheres to all Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Maintains and contributes to a safe work environment.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Postsecondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Materials Management or related field an asset but not required;
Experience using Access and Core systems an asset but not required;
3-5 years of related work experience;
Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment;
Forklift certification required (Combi Lift, Counterbalance, Walkie Rider)
Experience in a manufacturing environment or curtainwall industry is an asset;
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
Understand units of measure, perform basic mathemathical equations (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication);
Work in a team environment by demonstrating Integro’s core values (i.e. dependable, passion, honesty, and loyalty.);
Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to take direction; and
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
Manufacturing plant environment;
Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks that require knowledge of adherences to basic safety procedures and precautions;
Work environment requires PPE: safety footwear, safety glasses, hearing protection and a mask, following H&S standards; and
Flexible to work overtime as required.
