**Position Description**:
**Job Summary**:
The Clinical Research Project Coordinator (CRPC) will work closely with the research team in the _i_OUCH Pain Lab at The Hospital for Sick Children to assist with the protocol, data coordination, and data analysis of various randomized controlled trials. The Clinical Research Project Coordinator reports to the Principal Investigator or their designate (i.e., Project Manager).

**Project Summary**:
Through evidence-based research and knowledge translation processes, the _i_OUCH Lab at The Hospital for Sick Children aims to improve the lives of children and adolescents through the use of innovative information and communication technologies.

**Here’s what you get to do**:
The CRPC will work closely with the PI or their designate with protocol and database planning, development, coordination and analysis for research studies within the _i_OUCH Lab.

**Specific job duties include**:

- Study set-up, including obtaining and maintain research ethics approval, research ethics amendments
- Participate in study recruitment, consenting, participant follow-up, and data collection.
- Responsible for study coordination across all participating sites.
- Oversee and participate in data management (e.g., data cleaning and data entry) and quantitative/qualitative data analysis.
- Working closely with the PI or their designate to oversee various randomized controlled trials within the program of research.
- Prepare study protocols with other study team members, ensuring correct research methodologies are applied.
- Design study databases (e.g. REDCap, Excel).
- In multi-centre trials, assist with staff training, and monitoring of standardized procedures across multiple sites.
- Conduct regular data quality audits and data cleaning.
- Conduct data analysis of clinical trials with supervision from a Senior Statistician.
- Clearly communicate and interpret study results to research team members.
- Assist with abstract, poster, and manuscript preparation.
- Participate in other administrative activities to ensure the smooth running of projects.

**Here’s what you need**:

- Graduate degree in epidemiology or biostatistics, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three-years experience in clinical research.
- The ability to conceptualize the project goals into standardized data management practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and proficiency using quantitative statistical software, Stata or R preferred.
- Experience with qualitative software (i.e. NVivo) an asset. Experience in a pediatric clinical research is an asset.
- High precision and attention to detail, patience and ability to work with complex tasks
- Superior communication, organization and time management skills.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships.

**Employment Type**: 1 year, 1.0 FTE Temporary contract
