**ABOUT THE POSITION**

**WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?**

May be required to adhere to processes and policies in support of Municipal goals and legislative requirements.
- Connect with local business community to support, encourage and advise local businesses
- Prepare strategic plans and carry out economic development initiatives by identifying and promoting new opportunities
- Act as a liaison between municipal council, economic development committees & community
- Market the community to existing or potential investors
- Develop, edit and update communications materials such as publications, videos, letters, statements, speeches, new releases, advertisement, advisories, Q&As, digital web and internet content, social media posts etc.
- Build public understanding of the Town’s initiatives and services by coordinating communication initiatives, programs & events
- Champion, manage and monitor the use of all forms of communication
- Represent the Town of Fox Creek effectively in meetings with government agencies, community groups, boards and commissions and the public building consensus amongst participants
- Other duties as assigned

**WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?**

Minimum Requirements
- Post secondary education in a relevant field, or relevant work experience
- Clean Criminal Record Check
- Acceptable Driver’s Abstract
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications

Additional Requirements
- Applicable certifications related to the responsibilities outlined
- A valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Municipal experience will be given a preference
- Build, foster, and sustain a positive public image

Contract Full Time - 35 hours/week

Hours of Work
- Monday to Thursday - 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
- Friday - 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
- Some evenings and weekends as required
