Residential Overnight Awake and Asleep

**Job description**

**Community Resources and Support Services (CRSS)-Direct Service Professionals - Full-Time Residential Overnight Awake $23.00 per hour, and Part-Time Awake positions available at $22.00. Overnight Asleep $20.00 per hour.**

- **3 Part-Time Overnight Awake from 11pm-7am (Oshawa, ON)**_
- Provide adequate supervision and ensure overall safety of vulnerable individuals with special needs._
- Complete nightly responsibilities such as: safety and security, general housekeeping, documentation, and appropriate checklists._
- Ensure adherence to all CRSS policies, procedures, protocols, and overall program’s expectations._
- Maintain a clean and orderly environment to ensure highest standard of care is being met._

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of a Child and Youth Worker/Mental Health Worker, Developmental Service Worker, Social Services Worker Diploma from a Community College or University. (**Note: NO PSW Certification will be considered without other relevant college diploma)**
- **MANDATORY: 2 years minimum direct experience** working with individuals with complex developmental disabilities in a residential setting..
- Solid understanding of Developmental Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and additional complex needs.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal skills and a caring approach to working with adults with a developmental disability.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- **MANDATORY: Direct 2+ years of Experience supporting individuals** with daily care requirements, behaviour support plans and individual support plans in a residential setting.
- Ability and interest to be a positive member of a dynamic team.
- Must have the ability to physically support young adults and adults with complex needs.
- Must have Crisis Intervention training (UMAB) - training will need to be completed prior to employment.
- Understanding of Quality Assurance Measures an asset, training provided.
- **Valid driver’s License with a G Status mandatory.**
- Valid CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Successful completion of a VSS police check and Medical clearance in accordance with CRSS policy on pre-employment medicals.
