Jardeg is recruiting ticketed Scaffolders (ticketed Journeypersons or 3000+ hours) to join the team supporting the NOVA Chemicals project near Joffre, Alberta. This is a full-time temporary position starting immediately or ASAP with work currently scheduled to finish end of 2023. Shift schedule is 4 days on, 3 days off - 10 hours per day.

Scaffolders provide safe and secure scaffold access. They assemble, dismantle, modify system and tube and clamp scaffolds.

Scaffolder Journeypersons:

- Safely erect, maintain, repair, and modify all types of industrial scaffolding with mínimal supervision (i.e. towers, cantilevers, hanging scaffolds).
- Estimate scaffolding jobs effectively.
- Identify ideal type of scaffolding material to use for the job (i.e. frame, tube & clamp, system).
- Receive permits for required tasks (i.e. pending qualification as a permit receiver) and complete all scaffolding checklists prior to builds.
- Effectively communicate scope of work to scaffolding crews.
- Review Site Safe Work Procedures associated with the job prior to task execution.
- Manage and maintain an inventory of current scaffold material.
- Participate in pre-job toolbox meetings and conduct Pre-Task Analysis to identify potential hazards and measures to eliminate or minimize them.
- Correct unsafe acts and bring unsafe conditions to the attention of immediate Supervisor.
- Work within a multi trade environment.
- Maintain relations with client and co-workers through effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Assist with other duties as required.

Position Qualifications:

- Journeyperson Certificate or Proof of Hours (Over 3000 hours upon request).
- Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS 2020) Certificate.
- Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Protection.
- Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space Entry & Monitor Certificate.
- Good mathematical, scientific, mechanical and logical reasoning abilities.
- Scaffold Certificate is preferred.

**Salary**: $38.68 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Day shift

Licence/Certification:

- AB Scaffolder Certificate (preferred)
