Toddler Room Educator

**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards.
- Create a positive classroom environment that promotes learning and encourages student participation.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support their development.
- Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to enhance the educational experience.
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage students and accommodate different learning styles.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom setting, ensuring all materials are accessible and well-managed.
- Collaborate with other educators to share best practices and improve instructional methods.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and practices.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in caregiving or working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for educating young children.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and strategies for promoting positive behavior.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that respects diversity among students.
- Alberta Child Care Certification Level 1, 2 or 3
- Current Criminal Record Check (with vulnerable sector search)
- First Aid Certification

Pay: $19.14-$30.62 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
