**Overview**
The primary role of the Spray Painter is to tend to and operate machines that spray/coat products with paint, and machines that bring a decorative finish to the product. Responsibilities will include: identifying potential safety hazards, selecting or mixing the appropriate paint, and reading and interpreting blueprints. The Industrial Painter will inspect surfaces for contamination prior to coating and identify and employ methods that will reduce exposure to hazardous chemicals from the paint.
**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Paint using one or a combination of spray, brush, and roll.
- Selecting and mixing the appropriate paint.
- Clean equipment and perform routine maintenance when necessary.
- Performs all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.
- Other duties as required.
**Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities**
- **Must pass a Spray Paint Test.**:
- Completion of college/vocational or technical training in a related field is an asset.
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience working as an industrial painter in a manufacturing setting.
- Previous experience painting sheet metal.
- Experience using a spray gun.
- WHMIS Certification.
- Ability to work independently.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, with an ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Must be able to carry and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 25 pounds.
- Must be able to distinguish colours.
Schedule of work:
Rotational Days Schedule ( all 12 hours shift 6am - 6 pm )
Week 1 - off, off, on, on, off, off, off
Week 2- on, on, off, off, on, on, on
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
