Landscape Supervisor

Position Start Date: Beginning of April

Position Overview:
You will be working as a Supervisor in either lawn care, or garden installation/maintenance. As a Supervisor we will also be looking for team members with strong social skills who is able to lead a team and make decisions on demand. We are seeking experienced specialists to maintain and cultivate strong and healthy lawns and gardens. This will include mowing, trimming, fertilizing, weed control and even sod installation. The garden care division will require knowledge of common plants and weeds, experience trimming hedges, cutting garden beds and fertilizing/pruning.

What you’ll do:

- Operate machinery such as diesel zero-turn lawn mower, push mowers and weed whackers.
- Drive a truck with a trailer.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete landscape construction projects
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Other duties as needed

Skills We Are Seeking:

- Hands-on experience in working on outdoor lawn projects
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience with general landscaping
- Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Responsibility and dependability
- Ethics and integrity
- Eagerness to learn
- Work flexible hours, including early mornings and Saturdays
- Be enthusiastic and dependable and work as a team player
- Ability to think quickly and make decisions
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Landscape and machine experience is an asset
- Safety minded; safety boots required
- Must have a valid G license with a clean record

Work Conditions:

- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materials
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Requires good manual dexterity
- A full G license is required and experience with a trailer is an asset
- Excellent stamina is required
- Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis
- Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold
- Must be able to work flexible hours with occasional weekend work

Please note that this is not a remote position.

The chosen applicant will work with our team primarily in Kingston, Napanee, Amherstview and Bath.

**Salary**: $800.00-$1,000.00 per week

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kingston, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Landscape maintenance: 3 years (preferred)
