Yard Operator

**JOB OPPORTUNITY**

**POSITION: Yard Operator LOCATION: Lakeside**

Hensall Co-op is seeking a reliable individual to become an integral member of our team This position is full time, working out of the Lakeside location.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the daily operational functions of the Lakeside facility where needed (grain elevator, grading etc.)
- Communicate with Location Manager to ensure that all customers’ needs are met and that required products are available.
- Assist with inventory control by verifying shipments, completing documentation, and producing inventory counts when needed.
- General yard maintenance to ensure all areas of the Lakeside location are always kept clean and safe both inside and out, operating/adjusting/cleaning equipment as needed.
- Respond to incoming/outgoing loads daily and verify and maintain records of grain movements into and out of the facility.
- Operate all equipment associated with the elevator process, including drags, conveyors, scales, and pit, ensuring that accurate information of scale weights and transactions are recorded daily.
- All other duties as assigned.

**Job Requirements**:

- Attention to detail with strong time management.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform manual labour for hours at a time.
- Ability to operate different equipment such as forklift and automated plant equipment.
- Basic maintenance experience or skills

**Required Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in an agricultural setting is an asset
- Valid G Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract
- DZ license is an asset
