**Openings for CONTRACT TRAINING SERVICE FACILITATORS**

- Entrepreneurship Program
- Tourism Program
- Employment Skills Program

**Experienced Trainer RESPONSIBILITIES include - but are NOT limited to**:

- Deliver training programs, workshops, and classes.
- Travel, as necessary, to the location of training
- Create a safe, respectful learning environment conducive to learning
- Facilitate group learning activities and provide individual learner support
- Deliver training to a large group size.
- Manage the classroom through effective facilitation processes that enable efficient delivery of curriculum
- Evaluate learners at regular intervals and adjust learning plans to accommodate individual needs
- Determine specific audience needs and flex program delivery, as required
- Complete and submit all weekly paperwork and reporting in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with the office and support staff, and ask for assistance when/if needed
- Act and dress professionally, modelling positive behavior
- Participate fully in facilitation/skill development coaching activities
- Work flexible hours to support delivery of workshops which may exceed the typical workday
- Develop and deliver supplementary materials to complement company specific curriculum, as needed

**Desired Trainer KNOWLEDGE (or willingness to acquire) include**:

- Knowledge of Indigenous history, traditions, and protocols
- Understanding of Indigenous World View and cultural perspectives
- Knowledge of intergenerational trauma
- Familiarity with the Truth and Reconciliation Act
- Knowledge of Employment and Career Coaching Topics, such as resume writing, communication and interview skills, job search strategies, and available resources
- Knowledge of BC Tourism, and Indigenous Tourism
- Knowledge of Business and Entrepreneurship
- Knowledge of Grief Healing Processes and Resiliency practices
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- At least 2 years of experience working as a successful trainer/facilitator, able to educate, inspire, and provide highly interactive training sessions
- Proven delivery of training programs with a strong customer focused approach
- Experience working with Indigenous Communities
- Experience working in Adult Education
- Well-developed organizational and time management skills.
- Superior command of the English language with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to deliver, manage and evaluate learning using a variety of methods.
- Ability to work productively in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
- Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid B.C driver’s license.
- Ability to create / write reports, business correspondence & presentations.
- Willingness and ability to travel for work, as necessary
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to train multi-skill and multi-age levels

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Degree in Education; Professional Instructors Diploma; Diploma or Certificate in Adult Education; Comparable combination of post-secondary education and experience
- A designated certification in training, facilitation, public speaking, or comparable post-secondary education

**Job Type**: Contract

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
