**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
**Senior Discovery Tours**, the leader in fully escorted, all-inclusive group tours for the 55+ traveller is looking for a **Systems & Operations Manager** to join our Toronto team (_possibility of remote / work-from-home_). This full-time position will require a broad and deep knowledge of existing technologies, an understanding of the operational requirements of a mid-sized group tour operator, and a desire to make changing technology work for staff and for the organization. This role requires an exceptional attention to detail, an ability to assume responsibility and a desire to constantly improve.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS**:
As the **Systems & Operations Manager**, you will be responsible for managing and mastering all aspects of SDT’s Client Reservations system - from functionality and operational requirements, to training, documentation, feature development and reporting. You will manage booking and reservations system as it relates to internal and external stakeholders, ranging from reservations staff and clients to suppliers and company management. This is a key role within our organization.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Responsible for managing the existing reservations system including liaising with developers, training, feature development, reporting, data accuracy and user compliance
- Responsible for addressing user concerns, requests and reporting requirements
- In conjunction with internal stakeholders, programmers, developers and external vendors, you will take the lead on new system requirements, features, development and training
- Develop documentation, policies and training materials to communicate best practice and procedure at all levels of the organization
- Operational projects relating to the reservations system, such as Product Codes, e-Docs, client portal data flow, invoices, connectivity and others.

**OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing and maintaining a travel reservation system
- Experience in managing operational projects related to the reservations system.
- Experience in feature development and enhancement of reservations systems.
- Proficiency in creating training materials suitable for all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in system training to ensure smooth implementation.
- Collaborative mindset to work with internal stakeholders, programmers, developers, and external vendors.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address user concerns and requests.
- A broad and deep understanding of travel operations
- Exceptional problem-solving ability
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and has the ability to work under pressure
- Approachable and friendly attitude with a desire to help

**Salary**: From $70,000.00 per year
