**ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE**

This role reports to Post Bac. In Technical Apparel Chair.

**SUMMARY**

Seeking a professional seamstress/stitcher who can accurately and efficiently sew
technical apparel sample prototypes. Sewer will work with industrial sewing machines
and equipment on campus based on student project needs.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Sew prototypes with industrial sewing machines and equipment
- Communicate sample production issues with students
- Finish apparel samples/prototypes

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Advanced sewing and garment construction techniques
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to sew a wide range of garments
- Ability to sew samples within a short time frame
- Experience working with a variety of technical apparel têxtiles which may include: high stretch knits, waterproof têxtiles, and multilayered woven têxtiles
- Basic understanding of pattern drafting
- Ability to use industrial equipment: single needle, 3&4 thread serger, binders, Zig zag, bar tack, buttonhole, seam sealer, flatlock, Coverstitch,
- Knowledge or experience: Framis Binder, Ultrasonic Welder

**Salary Information**

Anticipated hourly pay rate: $45.00
