Shipper/receiver

**Northfield Trim & Door Inc.** is currently seeking a full-time employee that would be cross-trained performing both **Delivery Driver and Shipper/Receiver/Warehouse Staff duties**. We are looking for a positive, reliable, hardworking individual who is able to work both individually and as part of a team.

Monday to Friday 8am-5pm - 42.5 hours/week

**Responsibilities**:
**Delivery Driver**:

- Operate and drive pick-up trucks to deliver interior building materials
- Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle and ensure correct loading of vehicle before leaving with delivery
- Unload materials at delivery sites and place materials in buildings as directed by Supervisor,
- Deliver materials and proper paperwork to our customers in a courteous and timely manner
- Operate vehicle in a safe manner, obeying all rules of the road
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles
- Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate
- Perform periodic inspections of load to ensure that it is properly fastened down and is secure
- Help load trucks and ensure that material is properly protected from the outdoor elements
- Provide feedback to supervisor regarding customer problems/concerns, mechanical problems, or delivery problems
- Other duties as assigned

**Shipper/Receiver/Warehouse Staff**:

- Customer service duties such as: help with customer selections, take orders from customer in person and on the phone in a professional and courteous manner
- Serve customers that come in to pick up orders and ensure that order is complete and accurate and all necessary information documentation such as job, purchase order # etc, is obtained
- Prepare/stage material before delivery to meet shipping schedule
- Load trucks in a safe and timely manner and complete all documentation necessary; ensure that it is properly fastened down, protected from the outdoor elements and is secure
- Receive product and ensure incoming product matches delivery copies
- Provide feedback to supervisor regarding customer problems/concerns, inventory levels or damaged product
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Valid G Driver's License
- Clean Driver's Abstract
- 2+ years Delivery Driver experience
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to multi task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed
- Heavy lifting required; must be able to lift 60lbs
- First aid, fork lift experience and knowledge of the construction field are all assets

**Compensation**:

- Pay Range: $18-20/hr
