Our teams provide wrap-around collaborative services, working together in flexible ways, including virtual, in home, school, and community settings to support children, youth, and families.

The Child and Youth Mental Health Clinician will provide direct clinical services such as intake, assessment, treatment, suicide risk assessment, safety plans and crisis intervention, for children and youth from birth to age 18 and their families. Through consultation, they will collaborate with regional service providers and build and maintain relationships with community mental health and substance use services, local hospitals, and Indigenous agencies to support continuity of care and integrated service delivery for children, youth, and families.

**Job Requirements**:

- Masters in Social Work, Educational Counselling, Clinical Psychology or Child and Youth Care or comparable graduate degree at the Master’s level, or equivalent.
- **NOTE**:If your degree was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). You must provide a basic report by the closing date of this posting to be considered.
- Minimum of one year full-time equivalent experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services.
- Must possess and maintain a valid class 5 BC Driver’s license with no restriction or equivalent (i.e. from another Canadian Province).

**Preference may be given to applicants with the following**:

- Experience providing service to children, youth, and families with MCFD child welfare involvement, preferably youth in care.
- Applicants who self-identify as First Nations, Métis or Inuit with the required combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities (First Nations, Métis or Inuit).
