We have an exciting opportunity as CNS’s Manager of Marketing and Communications. In this role, you’ll report directly to the CEO and focus on developing and implementing modern marketing and communications strategies to promote CNS, our people, services, mission and mandate.

As the Manager, you will also play an integral role in the execution and improvement of our current marketing and social media strategies, all meant to enhance our brand presence, drive engagement, and maximize revenue opportunities. You will be accountable for the performance of all CNS’s marketing and communication initiatives, and will also oversee advertising campaigns, public relations efforts, internal and external communications, and promotional events. Additionally, you'll work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure that all our messaging is consistent and aligned with CNS' mandate, values and goals.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Lead the marketing function to develop and implement an overall brand and marketing strategy (digital & traditional)
- Work directly with the CEO and C-Suite to create and manage a quarterly and yearly content calendar and schedule.
- Provide direct/indirect influence regarding business-related activities that contribute to the achievement of the mission, vision, mandate, values, and strategic goals of CNS
- Facilitate/foster productive relationships with CNS departments/districts, external stakeholders, public, and media.
- Provide professional marketing and communication advice/services through the design and delivery of corporate products.
- Help facilitate the creation and delivery of confidential communication services through our Executive Leadership Team.
- Identify techniques and strategies for establishing and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Continually seek ways to improve business processes and experiences for stakeholders (including clients, the public, employees, internal departments, etc.)
- Facilitate communication and marketing processes, including newsletters, reports, advertisements, and public service announcements, while ensuring such activities support CNS’ vision and corporate direction.
- Ensure effective marketing, advertising, communications, and promotional planning for new and existing product and service lines.
- In concert with the Executive leadership team; oversee the dissemination of information to media, the public, and employees. Developing Press Releases, answering media inquiries, and acts as a spokesperson if/when appropriate.
- Oversee CNS’ internal Employee SharePoint, and CNS’ social media accounts.
- Help facilitate/develop, implements, and evaluate internal CNS communications plans.
- Responsible for brand oversight for CNS. Engaging with Commissionaires National Office, as appropriate, to ensure compliance with National branding and messaging.

**WHO WE’RE SEEKING**

**Education**:University degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, and 3-5 years of progressive experience/responsibility working in a Marketing or communications environment. Prior supervisory/leadership experience is an asset.

**Skills & Attributes**
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including document production and editing.
- Understanding and experience with business and social media platforms.
- Effective problem-solving skills and extremely collaborative within a diverse team-based environment.
- Highly proactive and excellent multi-tasking abilities to meet tight deadlines, must be able to manage multi-focused priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability in communications planning and research skills.
- Excellent computer skills and proficient in relevant software: Adobe (InDesign, Photoshop), Canva, MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Sharepoint).
- Superb organizational skills.
- Excellent customer relation skills.
- Knowledge of security industry would be an asset.
