Stockroom Attendent

Makloc is an industry-leading structural steel buildings manufacturer, offering a full design-build process and turnkey service.
Makloc is currently seeking a Stock Room Attendent in our Fabrication Department.
Duties included (but not limited to):
- Receive and count stock items and record data using computer
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in stock rooms or other areas
- Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, plant, or storage yard and label as per PO job# and customer name
- Dispose of damaged or defective items, or return them to vendors
- Clean and maintain supplies and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to Procurement Manager
- Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment
- Match physical counts to computer count
- Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and space available
- Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock
- Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to departments based on information from cut list.
- Request new or additional stock, or prepare documents that provide for such purchases.
- Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, and goods used or issued.
- Confer with Procurement Manager regarding stock procurement and availability.
- Determine sequence and release of back orders according to stock availability.
- Compile, review, and maintain data from cut list and other documents to assess supply needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- **High School Diploma/GED**:
- **Minimum 2 Years Stockroom experience**:
- **Inventory experience considered an asset**:
- **Exceptional organizational skills**:
- **Advanced computer skills (Excel, Outlook and window-based inventory program)**:
- **Detail orientated and multi-tasks**:
- **Knowledge of metal building manufacturing considered an asset**:
- **Initiative to make the role their own and develop job efficiencies**:
- **Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing**:
- **MUST be able to successfully pass a Drug and Alcohol Test**
**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
This role is primarily located in an area of our fabrication shop. On occasion the person may need to stand, stoop, walk, lift moderate objects and perform other similar activities during the course of the workday.
