Retail Sales Associate

The Retail Sales Associate position is fast-paced, customer orientated position that relies upon quick thinking, confident individuals in order to effectively provide customers with the shopping experience they require.

40 hours/week.

**Major Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Meet, greet and thank customers (by name where possible) and provide friendly, informed service to them
- Guide customers to location of products
- Suggest value-added and related products
- Stock shelves and display areas
- Keep stock clean, faced and orderly
- Locate products in the warehouse
- Maintain inventory accuracy & identify and report low stock
- Keep informed of promotions & in-store deals
- Maintain a professional appearance (uniform, hygiene, grooming and name tag)
- Follow company, store and department policies
- Follow store health & safety program and observe provincial occupational health & safety regulations; report any observed or potential hazards immediately
- Participate in meetings and all training, as required
- Complete other tasks as required

**Physical Demands (refers to an 8-hour shift with standard breaks)**
- Ability to stand/walk for 8 hours
- Ability to lift and turn repeatedly throughout the shift
- Ability to lift above shoulder and from floor to shoulder and floor to waist
- Ability to twist, turn, reach and work above shoulder level
- Ability to go up and down a ladder while carrying merchandise
- Ability to walk and carry at same time & push/pull as required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $14.50 per hour
