**Job Description**:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Art Therapist with a focus on working with children and adolescents. As an Art Therapist, you will leverage your expertise in art and therapeutic techniques to support young clients dealing with trauma, ADHD, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and other mental health challenges. You will provide a non-judgmental space where children can express themselves freely through creative activities, without any pressure on artistic skills or outcomes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct individual and group art therapy sessions for children and adolescents to help them explore and express their thoughts and feelings.
- Create a safe and supportive environment for young clients to engage in artistic expression, emphasizing the process over the aesthetics.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques to support children in managing and resolving their mental health issues.
- Collaborate with clients to identify underlying issues and assist them in developing coping strategies and enhancing everyday life skills.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting progress and treatment plans.
- Engage with parents, guardians, and other care providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to each child’s therapy.
- Stay current with best practices in art therapy and integrate new approaches as appropriate.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Psychotherapist Qualifying(RPQ) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
- Trained and Registered Art Therapist (RCAT) with the Canadian Art Therapy Association or Graduate Level Diploma in Toronto Art Therapy Institute (DTATI).
- 2 to 3 years of counselling experience, with a focus on children and adolescents.
- Experience supporting children, youth, and their families with special needs such as ASD and ADHD.
- Experience building and leading therapeutic groups, as well as creating training materials and resources, are assets

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $75.00-$85.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 8 per week
