**Electronics Technician - Element Technical Services - Red Deer, AB**

**Summary of Position**

Has 3 to 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry. Able to perform advanced PLC and electrical repair and troubleshooting. Requires little to no guidance to complete tasks. Good communication skills. Required to provide guidance and training to others within the department.

**Requirements**:

- Basic engine and transmission experience
- Possess advanced tool set
- A willingness to learn and retain information
- Good leadership skills and be willing to give guidance and training to less experienced personnel
- To follow all safety process and procedures
- Must not have received any written write ups within the past year
- Advanced PLC/HMI programming knowledge
- Ability to rewire PLCs and control panels

**Training**
- Advanced Siemens training
- Engine/Transmission Software training
- Advanced software training
- Employees will have the opportunity to attend training courses and will receive a certificate of completion at the end of each.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Advanced knowledge of how to use engine/transmission diagnostic software and its functions
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulic troubleshooting and repair
- Basic engine and transmission troubleshooting and repair
- Advanced electrical troubleshooting and repair including electronic controlled hydraulic components and their theory
- Advanced understanding of equipment software
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics including schematic symbols and their meanings
- Advanced understanding of the operation and theory of the greaser systems and its electronic, ability to troubleshoot and repair
- To work in a leadership role to assist and train less experienced employee’s
