Matrix is hiring a Certified Rigger for an exciting, long-term job in Halifax, NS. We offer additional overtime and wage parity for this position.This position also offers weekends off to allow for work/life balance. The Riggers will be working indoors in a controlled environment. The pay rate has increased to $43/hr. Our client has been building quality vessels for over 50 years and have been in the forefront of the Canadian shipbuilding for over 130 years.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving
- Select gear such as cables, pull-eyes, and winches, according to load weights and sizes using chain fall and other equipment
- Tilt, dip and turn suspending loads to maneuver over, under, or around obstacles.
- Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and material.

**Requirements**:

- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- A pre-employment physical is required
- A background check completed by employer

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in Rigging
- Successfully completed Rigging Training Courses
