**JOB SUMMARY**
- Under the authority of the Deputy Treasurer, the incumbent will assist in the planning, organization, and control of financial and material resources in the finance department. You will assist in ensuring the efficient delivery of all services and activities of the finance department_

**MAIN RESPONSABILITIES**
- Assist in the supervision of all operations related to the finance department;
- Assist in the supervision of the payroll process and the production of administrative documents in collaboration with the payroll clerk and the human resources department;
- Assist in the supervision and update of tax laws, the tax tables and various deductions in the accounting system;
- Assist the Deputy Treasurer in the preparation of bank reconciliations;
- Assist in the follow-up of general ledger accounts;
- Assist in the supervision of the payables process;
- Assist the Deputy Treasurer in the preparation of various government reports and annual reports required by the various departments;
- Assist in ensuring that all municipal departments meet their obligations regarding the allocation of grant revenues, operating levies and reserve funds;
- Assist in preparing the year-end financial statement audit file for the auditors;
- Assist in working with heads department and consultants on all activities, projects, programs and files related to municipal finances;
- Assist in compiling statistics, publications, documents and information regarding the state of municipal finances;
- Assist in the drafting of the quarterly report on the state of the finances;
- Assist in the compilation of year-end capital additions and asset management plan;
- Assist the Deputy Treasurer in supervising the team;
- Assist in the management of queries and complaints received in relation to municipal finances and by-laws that fall under the department's responsibility;
- Perform any other related duties.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education**: College Diploma in accounting or equivalent experience

**Experience**: 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar position

**Specific knowledge**:

- Bilingual; English and French (oral and written);
- Knowledge of Microsoft suite (Excel intermediate, Word and Outlook);
- Experience with financial software;
- Municipal experience is an asset.

- Ability to make decisions;
- Demonstrated customer service and communication skills;
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and above average attendance;
- Demonstrated ability to work with tight deadlines at times;
- Knowledge and understanding of various Employment Standards Act and accounting principles.
