**Job Summary**

**Dog care.**
- Playing with and interacting with dogs of all sizes and breeds both indoors and outdoors.
- Overseeing group play assisting with new dog assessments and introductions, taking dogs for hikes.
- Overseeing and assisting with general care tasks such as feeding and cleaning of the animals and assisting with cleaning and opening and closing duties.
- Keep records of animal feedings, treatments, and other updates
- This job requires able to lift up to 50 pounds, stay on your feet all day, and be able to bend over or squat for various cleaning tasks.
- Collection and disposal of pet waste
- Cleaning of the facilities to maintain a healthy environment, sanitizing of food and water bowls, laundry of blankets, beds and towels

**Qualifications**
- **Dependable.** Working with live animals you must show up for your expected shifts and show up ready to work.
- **Patient.** Some dogs are noisy, some are strong, some haven’t mastered their manners. You must be level headed and keep a calm atmosphere.
- **Quick learning.** Knowing dogs’ names, behaviors and owners is very beneficial for you and others working with you.
- **Strong Work Ethic**. You must take pride in your work, with cleaning standards set in place. You must be willing to work hard and well.
- **Friendly,** approachable, professional and energetic. Fast paced environment and the shifts are busy. Most of this shift is spent on one’s feet monitoring the playgroups and cleaning the facility.
- **Communication**. Be an effective communicator both orally and written. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
- **Physically Fit**. able to lift up to 50 pounds, stay on your feet all day, and be able to bend over or squat for various tasks.

**Hours**:Shifts range from 7am to 8pm so a flexible schedule is a must. Weekends and holidays are required as we have dogs in our care 365 days a year.

**Full time employees**:Available to work shifts including weekday evenings, weekends, and holidays.

**Part time employees**:Available to work at least 2-3 shifts including weekday evenings, weekends, and holidays.
