As a Class 1 Driver or Owner Operator, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials over short or long distances.

Job Responsibilities:

- Drive and operate a commercial vehicle safely & responsibly
- Follow instructions; be able to read road maps and navigate to destination
- Thorough pre-trip & post-trip inspections
- Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed
- Strap & secure cargo accurately
- Load and unload cargo appropriately
- Responsible for vehicle compliance with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times (NSC/CVSE/US DOT compliance)
- Complete and verify all paperwork accurately
- Hook/unhook from the trailer, backing into designated stalls
- Ability to calmly deal with difficult customers/shippers and receivers or police/DOT officers.
- Physically fit for all practical components of the job

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills & qualifications:

- Valid commercial drivers licence (CDL) with clean driving record (no driving violations in the past 3 years) *Commercial drivers abstract required*
- Ability to adhere to all safety regulations and traffic laws/CVSE & DOT regulations
- Flatbed experience/proper and accurate use of tire chains where needed
- Experience in basic automotive repair and maintenance is an asset
- No DUI/DWI convictions in the past 5 years
- Strong communication skills and a customer service-oriented approach
- Dependability and reliability

**Experience**:

- 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred
- Mountain driving experience is an asset

Expected start date: 2024-03-04

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $3,500.00 per month

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:
