**Key Responsibilities**:
- Support Operations with administration, HSE and HR documentation- Administer new employee onboarding and safety orientation- Work closely with managers and employees to prevent and reduce risks and injuries, assist in handling modified work agreements and active WCB claims, as well as non-occupational injury and illness claims- Handle and manage employee files and related documentation- Work collaboratively with payroll, operations and management on the continued development and administration of the company’s on-boarding and off-boarding programs- Provide support to the work of HR and Operations teams with the administration of formalized safety, incident tracking, reporting and communication programs- Provide updates and/or changes to the HSE Program to accommodate legislative requirements or to address identified deficiencies- Communicate with management and employees on Health and Safety Program components, policies and policy changes- Assist in maintaining all communication boards- Track employee training requirements- Support audit activities- Contribute to drafting job descriptions, recruiting and best practices for HR
**Core Competencies**:
- Highly analytical with capacity to identify sources and compile relevant and appropriate information when needed, and the knowledge of where to go to obtain the information- Strong attention to detail-
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills- Confident, resourceful and highly motivated, can work independently and with mínimal supervision- Ability to embrace change and adapt easily to change- Professional attitude with exceptional organizational, prioritization, multi-tasking, time management and problem-solving skills- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information
**Education/Experience**:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Commerce, Human Resources or equivalent- Occupational Health and Safety certificate from a recognized institution or HSA/NCSO designation would be considered an asset- Knowledge of Alberta OHS, Employment Standards, PIPA, WCB legislation and any other relevant legislation- Prior experience working within a COR certified organization considered an asset
