**SUMMARY**
This is a seasonal position, and you may be required to work all or some of the following dates: March 10, 11, 12, 15, 16,
17, 18, 19, 25, 26, April 1, and 2 during the annual Purple Woods Maple Syrup Festival. **A mandatory half-day training and orientation session is planned for Saturday, March 4, 2023.**

As the ATV Operator and Parking Attendant, you will be assigned to one of these roles on a daily rotation, which will be shared with another individual. The primary responsibilities as the ATV Operator are on-site transportation of visitors in need of this service, delivery of supplies, setup of interpretive displays, trail maintenance, firewood transport and fire starting, washroom cleaning and servicing and other Festival duties as required. The primary responsibilities of the Parking
Attendant include directing patrons into and out of parking spots, directing traffic, speaking to patrons, positioning, or removing barricades to prevent parking in certain locations and monitoring parking in accessible parking and fire access areas for illegal and obstructive parking. You will work in a team environment and are required to wear approved safety footwear. Gloves and safety vests will be provided. In both roles you will be responsible for basic housekeeping, not limited to daily cleanup of debris from parking lot, managing waste from pancake program, cleaning tables and floors in Heritage
Hall and be prepared to promote Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority as a lead agency in watershed protection and stewardship.

The ATV Operator role requires the individual to work in an outdoor environment about 90% of the time with no heat source and 70% of the time will involve driving and 30% of the time will require physical activity. The Parking Attendant role requires the individual to stand and work in an exposed outdoor environment 100% of the time. You will report to the Resource
Technician. The festival hours of operation are 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. The employee is expected to work either 8:00 a.m. to no later than 4:00 p.m. as the ATV Operator or 9:00am to 3:00pm as the Parking Attendant. A work schedule will be provided for this dual role position.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
1) Excellent customer service.
2) Valid “G” driver’s license and a clean driving record.
3) Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
4) Able to work alone and self-starter.
5) Fluent in English, a second language is an asset.
6) Must provide own CSA approved work boots.

**Wage**:$15.50 per hour
