**Team Overview**
The Insurance Risk group is EDC's corporate actuarial team. Its responsibilities include the annual actuarial valuation; insurance financial statements, corporate plan, stress testing and profitability monitoring. The team crafts and updates actuarial models to forecast insurance business and to determine levels of insurance liabilities and capital. It is also intricately involved in moving insurance financial reporting to the IFRS-17 accounting standard.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist in creating/updating actuarial models and assumptions, and model documentation
- Assist in setting and forecasting insurance liabilities and capital
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in a field related to actuarial mathematics or equivalent
- Progress in actuarial exams (SOA or CAS)
- Proficiency in Excel/VBA and programming
- Previous insurance or actuarial experience is an asset.
- Bilingualism - French/English - is an asset
