Route Setter

At Toronto Climbing Academy we're looking for committed people that want to be part of a team of climbers to bring new ideas and to help grow our community.

This position is a unique opportunity for an experienced route setter. Applicants must possess a solid foundation of climbing and route-setting skills for a well-rounded steward of customer development.

As a route setter, you can choreograph movement on the wall through the strategic placement and positioning of climbing holds. You are creative in your approach, striking a balance between form and function to create inspiring climbs that look and climb awesome. You are proficient with time management and safety practices with working at heights.

Skilled climber and route setter with experience in a commercial climbing facility.
- Possess advanced technical climbing skills.
- Well-rounded setter possessing both bouldering and route setting capabilities.
- Comfortable working at heights with ladders and/or ropes.
- Creative and inventive to produce climbs that look and climb awesome.
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills independently and within team efforts.
- Proficient at top-rope and lead climbing.
- Fun, outgoing, positive and kind with the ability to bring out the best in others.
- Flexible, eager to learn and willing to teach and learn new ideas.
- Demonstrate initiative, with the ability to identify and solve problems.
- Safety oriented, with the ability to uphold rules and policies for the safety of yourself and others.
