Live in

A condominium building located in downtown Halifax is seeking to recruit and hire experienced live-in Resident Building Superintendent(s).

The competencies we are seeking include excellent interpersonal skills, an ability to relate to a variety of people and a sense of urgency in attending to matters. A strong working knowledge of heating, fire safety and mechanical systems is an asset. Janitorial maintenance, administrative skills, and computer experience is required.

In this position, the individuals who meet these criteria will be offered a competitive compensation package including a $25,000 - $28,500 annual salary plus the following benefits:

Job responsibilities include:

- Performing daily inspections of common areas and elevators to ensure maintenance, cleaning and overall safety are being maintained
- Ensuring cleanliness of common areas so they are presentable at all times
- Performing maintenance to maintain the high standard of the building
- Managing third-party contractors effectively and overseeing their work
- Liaising with the property manager to facilitate larger building projects
- Responding promptly to owner concerns and inquiries in a timely, courteous, and professional manner

Pay: $25,000.00-$28,500.00 per year
