Therapy Aides to join TEAM OSNS in Early Intervention Services

The OSNS Child and Youth Development Centre is a vibrant, not-for-profit organization providing clinical therapy and support services to children and youth with a variety of developmental needs in the centre, community and family homes. OSNS is a family-centered, child-focused environment and enjoys close community partnerships. We are continuously evolving to reflect best practices within our integrated team which includes; Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech and Language Pathology Therapists, Early Childhood Educators, Behavior Analyst, Family Support services and Behaviour Interventionists.
This role functions as part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team and will require that our Centre’s vision and values be represented with spirit and professionalism.
- Aide clinical staff with preparation for and implementation of therapy plans in early intervention.
- Provide individual and group services to children, youth and caregivers referred to all OSNS program areas.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings as required.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Grade 12
- Recognized Therapist Assistant Diploma /Rehabilitative Assistant Diploma, Speech and Language Pathology Assistant Diploma or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Certificate in First Aid
- Experience working with children and youth with supported developmental needs is an asset, however, other applicants would be considered given the experienced supportive team you would be joining
- Valid BC Class 5 driver’s licence
- Access to a reliable vehicle may be required for travel across the South Okanagan Similkameen
**SKILLS & ABILITIES**
- Ability to maintain communication with clients and caregivers to foster optimal progress and establish supportive, collaborative, and therapeutic relationships
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain electronic records and write reports
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize caseload and other duties
- Ability to work independently and use a cooperative approach
- Ability to provide an acceptable criminal record check
- Proficiency in, or ability to learn a variety of software platforms, including virtual meeting platforms, cloud-based platforms (Office 365)
- Performance of other related duties as required
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

Pay: $25.18-$26.84 per hour
