Intermodal Dispatcher

**A large leader in transportation and Logistics company based in the Concord area is currently looking for a qualified Transportation Dispatcher for the afternoon shift.**

This position is responsible to direct and monitor our drivers to pickup and deliver our customers freight in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible.

Also responsible to ensure that all dispatch directions to drivers take into account each drivers hours of service (HOS) so CCT Canada is 100% compliant with all MTO and OSHA Regulations and Guidelines.

**Description**:

- Oversee rail operation and administrative support team.
- Keep in regular contact with each Driver via phone to manage driver performance.
- Provide accurate directions to pickups and delivery facilities to drivers.
- Coordinate with departments to ensure all freight movements are on time.
- Foster drayage fleet activity to maximize productivity and efficiencies.
- Collaborate and work effectively with related terminal functions, in particular dispatch

activities.
- Perform to meet automated KPI’s.
- RV utilization, requirements, cancellations.
- Oversee rail equipment requirements for both rails (ensure Impex orders are booked);
ensure timely loading of units to reduce detention from rail.
- Communicate any delivery delays or issues to Customer Service.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum: High school diploma with related industry experience, Degree strongly

preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of Dispatcher experience in drayage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft products: Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Ability to multi-task while interacting with others in a fast-paced environment.
- Incumbent must be organized and able to understand transportation rules and

regulations.
- Incumbent must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

**Pay Rat**e: $55,000-$65,000 per year to start.

**Hours: 7am - 15:00 Monday-Friday**
