**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Coordinate and oversee the work of clerks handling shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and inventory management of materials, parts, and products. This includes managing purchasing transactions, dispatching crews, scheduling transportation, and handling related logístical tasks.
- Plan, organize, and supervise logístical operations, establishing work schedules and procedures, resolving operational issues, preparing reports, and coordinating with other supply-chain departments.
- Train staff on job responsibilities and company policies, ensuring compliance with operational standards.
- Requisition necessary supplies and materials to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure proper functioning of computer systems, equipment, and machinery, and arrange maintenance and repairs as needed.
- May perform tasks typically assigned to workers under supervision when required.
- Review and approve shipping-related documents such as invoices, purchase orders, and bills of lading to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve shipping efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and transportation laws.
