**OVERVIEW**

Looking for a scanning and coring technician to assist with our construction and service contract projects. Technician will work on a variety of construction jobs sites in all different sectors (commercial, industrial, residential) and will scan the concrete to locate and mark items in the concrete (rebar, conduit, etc.), and use core drill to drill holes as approved.

The Coring Technician will be required to drive to various jobs sites across our regions and work with onsite staff to locate, scan, and core holes.

Training in equipment used is provided and previous construction experience is an asset.

**As our Concrete Coring Technician your day-to-day responsibilities may include**:

- Interpreting technical marks in concrete slabs to make holes and openings within concrete structures.
- Complete scanning of concrete to locate and map embedded services (rebar, conduit, etc.)
- Core holes in floors and walls according to scans
- Site preparation, maintenance, and clean-up
- Equipment set up and maintenance.
- Following all health and safety protocols
- Employing drilling techniques to make holes and openings in concrete.
- Preparation of job sites and equipment set up, as well as necessary clean-up and maintenance of tools.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous construction or trade experience is an asset.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Follow Verbal and written instructions.
- Capable of performing physical labour, which includes carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50Lbs.
- Read and Understand construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications used for installations purposes.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Ability to adhere to, implement and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Excellent communications skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
- Experience working with Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
