Ancaster Mill: Nestled under the Niagara escarpment, alongside a waterfall and creek, Ancaster Mill invites its guests to sweep themselves away. Boasting spectacular forested scenery and historic charm, it's like a breath of fresh air. The chefs work directly with local farmers to create harvest-inspired menus that capture the essence of the season.
**Job Purpose**:
Event Bartenders work together with the rest of the Events Team to help create memorable events and superior guest experiences at the Ancaster Mill. In the role of Event Bartender, you will be expected to interact with guests on a personal level as well as with Event Servers to fulfill drink orders to guest expectations and Pearle Hospitality standards. You will be expected to work closely with the rest of the Event Staff to ensure efficient operation of the even and provide hosts and guests with an extraordinary guest experience.
- Smart Serve Certificate
- Event Bartending experience is considered an asset
- **Communication**: Listen attentively to guest's questions and requests. Effectively share information about guest requests with Maître D’.
- **Organization**: Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks as necessary.
- **Personable**: Professional appearance, positive and proactive attitude, and exhibits genuine and thoughtful hospitality in all interactions.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Prepare bar for the event by fully stocking with ice, juices/pop, garnishes, glassware, alcohol, wine, and beers.
- Provide guests with the highest level of customer service by serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the event.
- Assist with pouring wine for guests during meal service.
- Restock bar and glassware as required, maintaining inventory sheet.
- Accept and perform additional tasks as required for optimal performance of the restaurant.
- Actively represent and promote Pearle Hospitality’s core values within the workplace.
- Act as an ambassador of the Ancaster Mill and Pearle Hospitality.
- Follow company policies and procedures as defined and outlined by Pearle Hospitality.
- Follow all Health and Safety standards to ensure a safe work environment for all guests and team members.
- Adhere to all cleanliness and sanitization practices.
- Maintain professional appearance and act with integrity and honesty.
