Community Living Alternative Services (CLAS) is currently seeking one individual to fill the fulltime position of **Enhanced** **Outreach Support Worker with a background in dealing with addictions. **First hiring priority will be given to those with a background in addictions and mental health support work.

**Position Summary**: This job does not require in-home supports but does involve multi-diagnoses individuals with complex needs and mental health concerns. The position retains regular Outreach job duties such as transporting individuals to (and sometimes attending) appointments plus facilitating community access for persons with disabilities.

The expectation is to provide companionship, compassion, guidance, and to assist with the development of skills and competencies that will help persons with disabilities to pursue and fulfill their goals, objectives and aspirations.

**You will bring**:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in providing support to individuals with disabilities. Specifically, we are looking for staff who are knowledgeable in some or all of the following areas: Addictions, Homelessness, Harm Reduction, Trauma Informed Care, and Mental Health support needs.

**Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.**
- Confidently provide front line, face-to-face support to individuals with varying challenges
- Assist individuals in the development of social skills and meaningful relationships
- Assist and support individuals to access and participate in the community
- Utilize excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possess intermediate computer skills
- Display professionalism
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Support self and others with strong time management and organizational skills
- Work independently
- Maintain composure when challenged by others
- Identify issues, set priorities, and implement an appropriate plan of action
- Proven ability to work collaboratively
- Be aware of and adhere to established policies, practices and operational protocols

**Other**:

- Must have a Class 5 or better Driver's Licence issued in Canada
- Must have a reliable car and personal liability insurance set at two million dollars ($2,000,000.00) in third party liability coverage
