**ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY**

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Develop accurate cost estimates for CAD design projects, considering factors such as material costs, labor expenses, and equipment usage.
- Collaborate with CAD designers and engineers to assess project requirements, scope, and technical specifications, ensuring alignment with cost objectives.
- Prepare detailed project budgets, monitoring expenses and variances throughout the design and development process.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis and risk assessments to support decision-making and project prioritization.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, value engineering, and design refinement to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
- Work closely with procurement teams to source materials, negotiate vendor contracts, and secure competitive pricing.
- Provide regular updates and reports on project cost performance, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Support project managers in forecasting financial outcomes, assessing project profitability, and mitigating financial risks.
- Stay informed about industry trends, CAD software advancements, and market dynamics that may impact project costs.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Design, Finance, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in CAD design, cost management, project estimating, or financial analysis roles.
- A background in metal fabrication, architecture and or manufacturing is preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and familiarity with engineering design principles and standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings, assess design complexity, and estimate production costs accurately.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present cost-related information to stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy, thoroughness, and quality assurance in cost estimation and budgeting.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are desirable.
