Toronto, Canada Building Science Professionals Inc. Full time

Building Science Professionals Inc. is a restoration company looking for motivated and organized individuals familiar with building science principles to join our growing team. Minimum 5 years experience in the construction industry or related fields such as engineering and architecture.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare work orders, scope, budget, schedule and co-ordination requirements of construction/restoration projects.
- Project administration which includes coordinating with staff, consultants and construction contractors, as well as interpreting and ensuring conformity with scope of work, drawings and specifications.
- Monitor work and identify issues related to scope of work and site conditions.
- Maintain project records including shop drawings, contract changes, invoices, purchase orders, deficiencies and warranties.
- Assist in the preparation of bids and reports.
- Maintain a record of physical and financial progress of projects.
- Co-ordinate access and project delivery with clients.
- Assist in developing and maintaining budgets and schedules.
- Investigate leaks and deficiencies.
- Assist with instructing, directing, providing technical guidance and expertise to staff, construction contractors and consultants with respect to projects.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations/constructions practices/methodologies, contract documents, City by-laws, codes, legislation and acts.

**Key Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of building science principles.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently, set priorities, plan and execute a variety of tasks in order to meet deadlines.
- Understanding of construction practices, materials and methodologies.
- Excellent writing skills and awareness of other communication tools.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work cooperatively with others in a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and contract documents.
- Ability to travel to various work locations throughout GTA.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Univieristy degree in Building Science, Architecture or Engineering is a must.

Salary Start: $60,000.00 to $75,000.00 /year

Pay: $75,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
