**Job Summary**:
As a key member of the Finance Team, the Controller plays a crucial role in overseeing accurate, timely, and comprehensive financial reporting and payroll functions. With an eye for detail, the Controller continuously seeks out leading practices in financial and accounting processes to enhance efficiency, while supporting and mentoring other team members. Additionally, the Controller is committed to leveraging technology and maintaining a client-service focus to support Cascadia in achieving its financial objectives.

**Relationships**:

- Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
- Direct Reports: N/A
- Internal Contacts: Finance Team, Senior Leadership, Operations Managers, and Department Heads
- External Contacts: Auditors, Financial Institutions, Vendors & Suppliers, Industry Associations

**Key Responsibility Areas**:
**Financial Reporting: 40% - 45%**
- Prepares financial statements for Cascadia Motivation Inc. and Discovery Travel
- Prepares accurate company financial records through the completion of the month-end process and validates the trial balance for completion and accuracy
- Completes Balance Sheet reconciliation of general ledger and sub-ledger
- Conducts Bank reconciliation and foreign exchange translation of foreign denomination accounts
- Prepares monthly and annual reporting requirements, meeting all regulatory deadlines including monthly & quarterly tax returns
- Assembles and prepares supporting documents for auditors (both financial statement and tax) and assists the CFO in completing audit preparation requirements

**Payroll: 20% - 25%**
- Prepares Semi-Monthly Payroll through ADP, including the issuance of annual T4’s, T2200’s, and CRA remittance requirements
- Utilizes ADP Time Management to verify salaried employee timecards
- Reconciles salaried employee payroll deductions and benefits

**Enterprise Resource Planning & Financial Systems: 20%-25%**
- Researches, implements, and supports new finance system implementations when needed
- Reviews, maintains, and suggests modifications to the current procedures and processes as appropriate
- Assists with ERP system reviews and recommends improvements/automation

**Administrative and Support: 20% - 25%**
- Assists team members in solving problems relating to their tasks, which may relate to system implementation or operation
- Assists in reviewing and approving day-to-day accounting transactions performed by other finance team members

**Projects and Assignments**:

- Performs a variety of other projects and assignments as assigned by the CFO

**Qualifications**

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Accounting, Finance or related field

**Experience**:

- 3-5 years of finance and technical accounting experience
- Multi-currency/Foreign Currency exposure
- Experience with various ERP Systems (i.e. Microsoft Business Central)
- **Certifications**:

- CPA Designation

Pay: $120,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
