The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is looking for **Donation Ambassador in our Alliston location.**

**What makes us different?**

Proceeds from the ReStore are used to build homes for families in Simcoe County. Habitat for Humanity Huronia brings communities together to help families build strength, stability, and independence through affordable homeownership.

The Alliston ReStore hours are GREAT Currently Monday - Saturday, 9 to 5 - closed Sunday.

**Permanent Part time: Monday through Saturday, 20-35 hours**

**Duties include**:(but not limited to)
- Works in a team environment to keep donations moving efficiently on to the sales floor, by participating in merchandising and responding to rapidly changing inventory.
- Follows existing and provides input on new processes of ensuring donations have been identified, tested, cleaned and priced before releasing for sale.
- An understanding of the retail environment and the ability to keep current on pricing and fluctuating market trends. Participate in regular updates to general pricing strategies, Maintain a working knowledge of retail pricing through various channels (online, re-sale, store ads).
- Creates exceptional customer and donor experience whether accepting easily sellable, or declining unsuitable donations.
- Develops relationships with volunteers, coworkers and donors providing knowledgeable, courteous and responsive customer service to build loyalty and promote repeat business.
- Utilizing technology to work efficiently on Windows, Android-based, and POS platforms.
- Ensure adherence to established safety and security practices and procedures as outlined in the Restore Safety Handbook
- Excellent decision-making ability and problem solving skills
- Must be able to work flexible shifts from Monday to Saturday

**Knowledge, Experience & Attributes**:

- Previous retail leadership experience with strong communication and decision-making skills.
- Ability to organize and problem solve strategically are assets.
- Adaptable, energetic team player with a passion for contributing to our mission.
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop a rapport with teammates, volunteers, customers and donors.
- Able to meet the physical demands including: frequent pushing, pulling and reaching, kneeling & bending; lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.; 100lbs assisted. standing for extended periods of time.
- Must have CSA approved, green patch steel toe boots/shoes.
- Must be cleared by a police background check

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.55-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
