Carpenter (Ft)

**Matrix **is looking to hire
**Carpenters **for a project in
**Leduc, AB.**

**Scope of Work**:

- Performs selective demolition and removal of waste.
- Repairs and constructs external timber stairs way to Summer Dock.
- Install buoyancy floats and cedar boards to the metal dock.
- Operates hand and power tools.
- Works closely with other members of the Carpentry team.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Working Conditions**:

- Must be willing to perform a wide variety of tasks with varying physical requirements from lifting, and climbing ladders, and being on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Must be willing to work at height and in confined spaces.
- Extended outdoor activity; exposure to varied weather conditions.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Versatile in all types of general carpentry.
- Proficient with the safe operation of carpentry tools and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
- Must be able to work safely with other workers and abide by our client's safety manual.

**Requirements**:

- Prior carpentry work (Red Seal/Journeyperson).
- Relevant construction experience, residential or commercial.
- Valid Driver's Licence.
- Tool Pouch.
- Full PPE.
- AWP preferred.
