Feed Mill Manager

JOB TITLE: FEED MILL MANAGER
**Job Description: Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the feed mill.**

**Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Producing feed for animal consumption according to all standards established by the company.
- Operate feed mill batching equipment and software.
- Receive feed orders from farms and organize the production schedule to maximize efficiency and meet farm needs.
- Sample and test feed to ensure that produced feed meets all quality standards established by the company.
- Loading feed trucks
- Communicating with transporters to coordinate delivery of feed ingredients to the feed mill.
- Unloading grain and other ingredient trucks
- Testing incoming grain and ingredients to ensure minimum quality standards are met.
- Tracking and entering all incoming ingredients and maintaining an accurate inventory.
- Maintain an appropriate inventory, and incoming product supply to avoid production interruptions.
- Perform repair and maintenance tasks.
- Operate equipment such as telehandlers or tractors.
- Refill micro boxes with 25kg bags, and move pallets as needed.
- Communicate any issues to management on time.
- Follow all company safety management system policies and procedures.
- Perform housekeeping duties and maintain a clean working environment.
- On call and overtime hours are required on a regular basis

Mechanically inclined, equipment operation, ability to lift 25kg bags and move large pallets, Microsoft Office, time management, organization, attention to detail, communication, problem solving.
**Experience**
Experience in a related field is preferred.
**Personal characteristics**
Capable of handling multiple tasks, is organized, takes initiative and can solve problems.

**Normal work hours**: Monday to Friday, 40+ hours per week, on call 2-4 nights per week.

**Salary**: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
