The Opportunity

Columbia College is looking for **Sessional Math Instructors **to teach the following University Transfer Courses on campus.

Full Semester:_**
- **
MATH 114, Calculus II, sec (121)** - Wednesday and Saturday from 12:00 to 13:55.
- **
MATH 115, Calculus I for the Life Sciences, sec (161) **- Wednesday and Saturday from 16:00 pm to 17:55 pm.

This part-time sessional position will** commence in May 2024 and end in August 2024.**

**_
Second half of the semester:_**
- **
MATH 100, Precalculus, sec (10**) - Monday and Thursday from 10:00 to 11:55.
- **
MATH 114, Calculus II, sec (16**) - Monday and Thursday from 16:00 to 17:55.

This part-time sessional position will commence on **June 23, 2024**, and end in **August 2024**.

Key Responsibilities

The Instructors' primary responsibilities include planning, teaching, marking, and grading the appointed course/s.
- **Master's degree in Mathematics.**:

- A minimum of two years of experience teaching **Mathematics** at another post-secondary institution.
- Excellent expertise with Learning Management Systems (Knowledge and experience with Moodle is an asset).
- Demonstrated success in innovative or student-centered teaching techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience in teaching a diverse student body

Compensation

We offer a competitive compensation:

Full Semester:_**

**$8,809.84** per course for a Master's degree holder and **$9,833.12** per course for a Ph.D. holder.

**_
Second half of the semester:_**

**$4,404.92 **half a course for a Master's degree holder and **$4,916.56** half a course for a Ph.D. holder.
